Dating advice for Christian men

Has your heart been broken and shattered by past relationships and you can not seem to find the right person out there for you? You start to wonder if God even has someone for you and that he does not even have a companion for you. The truth is, a lot of us lack a good healthy relationship or even finding one because we are not doing it correctly.

First take stock of yourself. Men, imagine if you have a daughter and she is dating someone who is an exact replica of you; same personality, ambitions in life and same thoughts as you have. Would you be happy if she was dating a guy like you, your pride and joy in the arms of a guy who is the exact replica of you? Take stock of yourself and the type of man you are. Start there, be the man of God that you would want your future daughter to be with and you will start attracting that winner in your life.

Secondly, look for the right women in your life, don’t fall for the lustful deceptions of the harlot as that relationship will be unequally yoked and will be doomed to fail.

Proverbs 31 New Living Translation (NLT)

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.

Stop looking for the charmers and start looking for a women who fears the lord!

You need to be the man that attracts the Godly woman.

Pray for a proverbs 31 woman.

Finding God in your fears.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

As ordinary people, we become scared easily. Scared that we are not good enough, scared that we wont be able to pay our next bill and fear that we are to far from God. Fear is a hindrance in our life and causes us to try and do things on our own instead of relying on God. We start to fulfill our life with temporary pleasures that leave us more empty, instead of relying on God to give us joy and to fulfill us in a way that only he can.

Being fearful is saying that you don’t trust God to take care of you and protect you and to bring you through whatever trial it is that you may be going through. Do you remember when you were a little kid and when something scared you and you ran to your parents for protection? Once you were in their embrace you no longer felt fear; this is because you trust your parents to take care of you. When something in life scares us and we don’t trust our heavenly father to be with us, our fear will only stay and we will only be continuing a life of fear and hindrance.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

When we have fear in our lives, and not power and self control, we are no longer living in the spirit of God. Put on the full armor of God and cast your fears onto him.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Give your fears to God, your anxiety and burdens.  You do this in the prayer closet, pray to him, call out to him and cry out his name. When I am fearful, I spend time with God, I worship him and I pray to him. Our God is a very approachable God; talk to him like you talk your friends. Tell God why your scared, why your doubtful and call out to him. The same God who picked you up and saved you is the same God that will squash you fears.

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

There is no fear in love and love casts out fear. Love your lord your God with all your heart. Pour out your love to him and ask him to show you his love. Once you are drowning in the love of God, then there is nothing to fear nor be afraid of.

Matthew 8:23-27

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” 26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” 26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”

In the above story, Jesus’s disciples were afraid that they were going to drown and die. Then Jesus spoke a bone chilling statement that probably shook the disciples at their core. Jesus told them that they had little faith. They had little faith in their God to save them.
When we are in fear and are in trials, we must have faith that God will save us, have faith in who he is and do not doubt him. God is not going to leave you to die, he is going to mold you into his image. There is no reason to be afraid in this life when we are following Christ. We must trust in him and have Faith that he will carry us through, as he is God and we are not.

It is never to late.

You are never to far from the grace of God. Whatever it is that you have done, give it to Jesus and you will never come under condemnation.

It is never to late to start over. Have a blank page and write a new story. Do not carry the past on your shoulders; start over, regrets; get a rid of them. You are never to far from the grace of God. Whatever it is that you have done, give it to Jesus and you will never come under condemnation. Grab yourself a blank page and start over and give it all to Jesus because he gave it all to save you.

Never run away from God, give your heart to him throw up your white flag and surrender to him. Who distributes joy and sets the soul free? Who finds the lost and sets them free? You can find a real love, raise your hands and let Jesus be your savior. It is never to late to start over if you have ran away from grace, it is never to late start over. God will take you in his loving embrace with no condemnation.

Love your life.

When you see the power of Christ working in others through you, and you see lives changed for the better, the sick healed, and the homeless fed, you can not help but feel great joy. God did not call us to live defeated lives but victorious and joyful lives.

It may sound almost cliche to say, but love your life. God has only given you one life to live. Do not hold yourself captive into a state of hopelessness, do not be a sloth and lay in bed all day. Get out of the house and enjoy this one life God has given you.  The average person lives 79 years, make the most of it. Take chances in life, live your life to your full God- Given potential.

Help someone who is in need, find a needy soul and pray for them. Show the love of Christ in all that you do. That is the first step into loving life. When you see the power of Christ working in others through you, and you see lives changed for the better, the sick healed, and the homeless fed, you can not help but feel great joy. God did not call us to live defeated lives but victorious and joyful lives.

I’m not saying that we will not face hardships in life, as not everything is handed to us on a silver platter, but in those hardships, we can find joy in life by doing something. The holidays are coming up and there is plenty that can be done to help bring joy to not only yourself but to others. Write a solider a thank you card, find a homeless man and feed him and find a hurting soul and lead them to Jesus. God is the point of life and when we live as if this is true, it will not only bring joy to our souls but also to others. What is better then bringing happiness and joy to others?

Honesty

You have been all the way to broken, lost all sense of where to go in life, but love is still the answer and it is never to late to be rescued.

You have been all the way to broken, lost all sense of where to go in life, but love is still the answer and it is never to late to be rescued. Pain is just an anchor that holds you down at the bottom of the sea but you can have the anchor cut free. Many of us have an anchor holding us down, but we do not even realize it. We have gotten so used to being at the bottom that it just seems normal to us. It feels as if we have no sense of where to go but we no longer care.

A lot of times we do not even know that we have an anchor tied around us dragging us to the bottomcut-the-anchor-loose or holding us back in life. Be honest with yourself. Take stock of what is going on in your life, we all have kryptonite in our lives which forms an anchor holding us back. Find out what it is and what is holding you back.

We all cope with life in different ways, but be honest, do not be scared to move and ask for help. God is always in control, ask God for help. He is the chain breaker in life, he is the one that will pick that anchor up and throw it as far as the east is from the west.

You can carry the past on your shoulders or you can start over with help from God. The choice is yours. You may think there is no hope but Jesus saves! Regrets will hold you back. Come to God for help, find a church and plug yourself into it, talk to your pastor and family.

Jesus will take that anchor and throw it away. Be honest with yourself, do not deceive yourself into a lie. Once your honest with yourself, give your burden over to God. Once that anchor is cut loose, you will only propel forward.

Love is the answer.

Where is the love of Christ anymore? Gee, I honestly don’t know anymore. Everytime you turn on the television, all you see is hate. On Facebook you’ll see Christians constantly fight with each other over differences in minor theology. This world is sure in a down spiral. Christians are supposed to be the world changers , the dreamers, those who spread the news of Christ, but from what I’ve seen; it’s no wonder many are leaving or running away from Christianity.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a pessimistic view on life and society. I’m very optimistic that the love of Christ will start shining through his creation, but only if we let the spirit of God flood his church.
Let’s stop hating other people, lets stop putting other people down. Love is the answer, not hate. As I sit here and think, it hurts my head because it confuses me so much on why there is so much hate.

Here where I’m from, America, we proclaim to be the greatest Christian nation but it is not reflected in the way our society acts. It’s time for not just the young millinieals to start standing up for what is right, but it is time for everyone to link arms and sing one unified song underneath the flag of Jesus Christ.

My philosophy is, if it doesn’t affect the gospel of salvation , stop fighting about who is right over small stuff. Lets unify under Christ and make this world a better place.

Love is the answer for everything, not hate.

Finding God in the midst of your trials.

I see you going through trials in your life. The pain and struggles you are facing, relationships falling apart, working 60 hours to make ends meet in your household. I see you losing hope, joy and peace. It seems as if the storm clouds wont part and the waves wont calm.

If we want to find God in the midst of our storm we must realize that it is not about us and that we must look in the right place for him and know how to respond to his voice. Our trials are not about us, the ” woah is me me me” attitude needs to go. The sooner we realize that God is molding us into his image for his glory, more we will recognize God in our strife. How are clay pots created? They are refined in fire to be molded into the likeness that its creator wants it to be in.

Isaiah 64:8 ESV

But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand

We are Gods workmanship.

Once we realize that God is molding us into what he wants us to be in our trials, we need not look in the wrong places for God. We can not be getting caught up in the cares, woes and worries of the world; we can not get caught up in a pattern of overthinking our current situation. What happens when we focus on the trial we lose focus on who God is. We can not get so caught up in the midst of our despair and miss Jesus’s hand that is reaching to us because we are no longer focused on looking for him.

In your trials, once you stopped making it about yourself and started understanding that God is making you into a better person and that it is about him and not you, and once you start focusing on looking for Jesus and stop focusing on your own despair, then hearing Gods voice in the storm will be much easier. Let the holy spirt counsel you, let Gods presence into your struggle and let him do the work that only he can do. Count it joy for the trial, because that is when we most often come to the understanding of the power of our God.

I see you struggling, I am praying for you and declare victory over your life in Jesus name. Jesus did not leave you as an orphan, he left us his spirit and it is crucial that you allow the spirit of God to flow through you like a river. God is good. Stay the course, keep the faith.
