You have been all the way to broken, lost all sense of where to go in life, but love is still the answer and it is never to late to be rescued.
You have been all the way to broken, lost all sense of where to go in life, but love is still the answer and it is never to late to be rescued. Pain is just an anchor that holds you down at the bottom of the sea but you can have the anchor cut free. Many of us have an anchor holding us down, but we do not even realize it. We have gotten so used to being at the bottom that it just seems normal to us. It feels as if we have no sense of where to go but we no longer care.
A lot of times we do not even know that we have an anchor tied around us dragging us to the bottom or holding us back in life. Be honest with yourself. Take stock of what is going on in your life, we all have kryptonite in our lives which forms an anchor holding us back. Find out what it is and what is holding you back.
We all cope with life in different ways, but be honest, do not be scared to move and ask for help. God is always in control, ask God for help. He is the chain breaker in life, he is the one that will pick that anchor up and throw it as far as the east is from the west.
You can carry the past on your shoulders or you can start over with help from God. The choice is yours. You may think there is no hope but Jesus saves! Regrets will hold you back. Come to God for help, find a church and plug yourself into it, talk to your pastor and family.
Jesus will take that anchor and throw it away. Be honest with yourself, do not deceive yourself into a lie. Once your honest with yourself, give your burden over to God. Once that anchor is cut loose, you will only propel forward.
I see you going through trials in your life. The pain and struggles you are facing, relationships falling apart, working 60 hours to make ends meet in your household. I see you losing hope, joy and peace. It seems as if the storm clouds wont part and the waves wont calm.
If we want to find God in the midst of our storm we must realize that it is not about us and that we must look in the right place for him and know how to respond to his voice. Our trials are not about us, the ” woah is me me me” attitude needs to go. The sooner we realize that God is molding us into his image for his glory, more we will recognize God in our strife. How are clay pots created? They are refined in fire to be molded into the likeness that its creator wants it to be in.
Isaiah 64:8 ESV
But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand
Once we realize that God is molding us into what he wants us to be in our trials, we need not look in the wrong places for God. We can not be getting caught up in the cares, woes and worries of the world; we can not get caught up in a pattern of overthinking our current situation. What happens when we focus on the trial we lose focus on who God is. We can not get so caught up in the midst of our despair and miss Jesus’s hand that is reaching to us because we are no longer focused on looking for him.
In your trials, once you stopped making it about yourself and started understanding that God is making you into a better person and that it is about him and not you, and once you start focusing on looking for Jesus and stop focusing on your own despair, then hearing Gods voice in the storm will be much easier. Let the holy spirt counsel you, let Gods presence into your struggle and let him do the work that only he can do. Count it joy for the trial, because that is when we most often come to the understanding of the power of our God.
I see you struggling, I am praying for you and declare victory over your life in Jesus name. Jesus did not leave you as an orphan, he left us his spirit and it is crucial that you allow the spirit of God to flow through you like a river. God is good. Stay the course, keep the faith.
Often times I ask myself, “Jessee, are you living for God to your fullest potential? Are you letting God lead you into the great unknown asking God for the impossible or am I just living a comfortable do nothing christian walk” Another way I can put it is, am I only willing to serve God where I am comfortable? Am I chasing the dreams that God put in my heart or am I to afraid of the unknown and give up.
While reading a devotional that pastor Steven Furtick wrote, something stuck out to me on what he wrote, “If your not asking God to do the impossible then your missing out on the best parts of your christian walk.” When your in the word of God reading about the great men that God used; Moses, Noah, John the Baptist etc. how often do you find yourself having the same level of faith that the men of old had. If God said to you that you will split the red sea to save his people; would you believe that you could do that or would you back away because such a great task is out of your comfort zone.
In my faith I am finding that I am afraid of the great unknown. I have all these dreams and hopes that God has instilled on my heart to do and the great unknown is; will I ever be able to do what God has called me to do or will I fail and fall short?
Ask God to perform the impossible in your life. If your struggling in life and you do not think you will ever achieve what God has called you to do; call out to God to perform a miracle. One of the greatest stories in the bible was when Joshua was at war. He knew that day he needed to defeat the enemy but he knew if the sun were to set; then the enemy would escape. Joshua prayed to God for the impossible and God allowed the sun to not set. It was the prayer that made the sun stand still. I earnestly believe God can still perform those very same miracles in your and my own life.
They say, with the faith of a mustard seed, that you can move a mountain and I want a faith like that.
We all make mistakes and cross that line. We all mess up and fall and burn bridges. Our hearts all have been broken; and we all have broke hearts. Guilt does a job on everyone’s soul; that guilt though is the holy spirit nudging on your soul to call out for forgiveness. Who are we to call out to forgiveness for? Well..God; we have all wronged God.
Who has? Surely not me you may say, but the word of God says for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We all need forgiveness; were all holding onto the guilt of something terrible we have done. The good news is Jesus hung on a bloody cross for us so that we may be forgiven. Just cry out to Jesus and let go of the guilt. Nothing is sweeter then the day we find forgiveness. No matter how lost you are; your not to far for the grace of God to find you.
You can go and play it like nothing has ever happened but you can bet that when your head hits that pillow at night it’ll be on your mind. You’ll be fighting that guilt and you’ll be fighting that emptiness. Don’t hold onto to it; give that weight to God. Your never to far gone.

We live in such a rampant society filled with meaningless things that become an idol to us and distract us away from God and the things he has planned for us. Everywhere we go we are blasted with our most favorite interests; either it be football; baseball; or the new album by our most favorite bands. How often will we miss church and worship time with God just to see the Detroit lions lose once again (sorry Detroit fans haha). How often will we not attend midweek service because it is too cold out or our favorite show is on. How often will I stay up playing that new video game when God is telling me to spend time with him. How often will you or I spend 20 dollars for that extra bottle of wine but not pay the tab of the seemingly poorer person in line behind us who is fumbling through their last penny.
Anything that we decide to serve or do over the will and love of God is serving another god; our own selfish desires. We are the body of Christ; the church. Each member of the church or us, the people have different roles to play. Some of us are called to be the arms of Christ to reach out to the poor and homeless while others are called to teach and others to heal. Why are the homeless not being helped to the capacity that they should be? Why do we have sick in the streets and why are small amount of christians; dare I say it; illiterate in the knowledge of Gods word- the bible. Why is no one teaching the word of God anymore? Of course these questions are rhetorical but, the point remains.
Now, I do not want to sound like a downer; many of us are serving God in the greatest capacity that we can. What I am simply trying to say or do is to bring attention to serving Gods will above what our desires are. Maybe the lions will be super bowl champions; maybe not; but do not let football or whatever society feeds us distract us from the will of God and become idols within our own lives. God is great and magnificent and deserves to be praised in all areas of our life; in the grocery store, watching the lions lose and not swearing at the television and also in our churches, God alone needs to glorified.
Sincerely I do hope the lions win because I’m from Michigan

What happened to our dreams? You know; before the world and sin led us astray. I think the dream is still there, just being pushed down and silenced by the ways of the world. So pushed down and silenced that we think the dream is dead.
Don’t let your dreams die. Don’t let the devil carry you so far from the cross that you give up on the dreams God has given you. The dream God has given you are still there. It is still very alive; you just have to pursue it! You don’t have to live in defeat in your christian journey. Flee from sin and cling to the cross! Flee from it all until your free from it all!
The devil just wants to hold you hostage and in chains which keeps you from pursuing what God has instilled in your soul. Your alive still for a reason; which means God still has a use for you. God is the author of life and death am I right? So if he is keeping you alive that means he still has a purpose for you; a dream for you to fulfil. Cry out to Jesus! The chain breaker; if God has called you to it then he will bring you through it ONLY if you let him. God has given us a freewill; and a choice. We can either serve him or not. Don’t sell yourself short. If God has called you to it he will make a way! God wouldn’t tell you “son; daughter I’m calling you to do this great task” and not give you the ability to do it! Keep the faith! Can I get an amen?

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:8
God is the very definition of love. He loves us so much that he died for me and you; he died for the whole world that we may go to hevean IF we accept him as our lord and savior. He took the punishment of our sins. The cross he died on; was supposed to be our punishment. Hungry souls receive grace; the fatherless find their rest and the sick are healed and the hell bound sinners are saved by the grace of God if they call out to Jesus! All because God Is Love. Would you die for the sins of strangers?
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians describes love perfectly. If God is Love then you can safely say
God is patient and kind; Goddoes not envy; God is not arrogant or rude. God is notirritable or resentful. God does notrejoice at wrongdoing, but he rejoices withthe truth.God bears all thing, hopes all thingsand endures all things; because God is love.
