Dating advice for Christian men

Has your heart been broken and shattered by past relationships and you can not seem to find the right person out there for you? You start to wonder if God even has someone for you and that he does not even have a companion for you. The truth is, a lot of us lack a good healthy relationship or even finding one because we are not doing it correctly.

First take stock of yourself. Men, imagine if you have a daughter and she is dating someone who is an exact replica of you; same personality, ambitions in life and same thoughts as you have. Would you be happy if she was dating a guy like you, your pride and joy in the arms of a guy who is the exact replica of you? Take stock of yourself and the type of man you are. Start there, be the man of God that you would want your future daughter to be with and you will start attracting that winner in your life.

Secondly, look for the right women in your life, don’t fall for the lustful deceptions of the harlot as that relationship will be unequally yoked and will be doomed to fail.

Proverbs 31 New Living Translation (NLT)

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.

Stop looking for the charmers and start looking for a women who fears the lord!

You need to be the man that attracts the Godly woman.

Pray for a proverbs 31 woman.

10 Reasons To Praise God

My daily thoughts on why we should praise God. Here are 10 Reasons I’m praising God today.

He is faithful

He gives you life you can’t take credit for

He heals

He saves

He loves you even when you are a disaster

He calms the storm

He guards your soul

He is love

He contains all power

He overcame death

Finding God in your fears.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

As ordinary people, we become scared easily. Scared that we are not good enough, scared that we wont be able to pay our next bill and fear that we are to far from God. Fear is a hindrance in our life and causes us to try and do things on our own instead of relying on God. We start to fulfill our life with temporary pleasures that leave us more empty, instead of relying on God to give us joy and to fulfill us in a way that only he can.

Being fearful is saying that you don’t trust God to take care of you and protect you and to bring you through whatever trial it is that you may be going through. Do you remember when you were a little kid and when something scared you and you ran to your parents for protection? Once you were in their embrace you no longer felt fear; this is because you trust your parents to take care of you. When something in life scares us and we don’t trust our heavenly father to be with us, our fear will only stay and we will only be continuing a life of fear and hindrance.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

When we have fear in our lives, and not power and self control, we are no longer living in the spirit of God. Put on the full armor of God and cast your fears onto him.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Give your fears to God, your anxiety and burdens.  You do this in the prayer closet, pray to him, call out to him and cry out his name. When I am fearful, I spend time with God, I worship him and I pray to him. Our God is a very approachable God; talk to him like you talk your friends. Tell God why your scared, why your doubtful and call out to him. The same God who picked you up and saved you is the same God that will squash you fears.

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

There is no fear in love and love casts out fear. Love your lord your God with all your heart. Pour out your love to him and ask him to show you his love. Once you are drowning in the love of God, then there is nothing to fear nor be afraid of.

Matthew 8:23-27

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” 26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” 26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”

In the above story, Jesus’s disciples were afraid that they were going to drown and die. Then Jesus spoke a bone chilling statement that probably shook the disciples at their core. Jesus told them that they had little faith. They had little faith in their God to save them.
When we are in fear and are in trials, we must have faith that God will save us, have faith in who he is and do not doubt him. God is not going to leave you to die, he is going to mold you into his image. There is no reason to be afraid in this life when we are following Christ. We must trust in him and have Faith that he will carry us through, as he is God and we are not.

Thanksgiving

The bread of life was thankful for all the bread given to him, for all the Father had done for him

It is that time of the year to shove stuffing, ham, turkey, potatoes, and more turkey down our throats ruining our new years resolution on weight loss that was started the beginning of the year.

There is a lot for us to be thankful for, Jesus and salvation is the biggest reason obviously.

What was Jesus thankful for though on his time here on earth? well lets dive into scripture and take a look.

Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd. Matthew 15:36

“Jesus responded, ‘Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.’” John 11:40-42

Jesus was thankful for those hearing the Gospel, he was thankful for all the things that the father has done for him. The first verse he thanked the father that he was able to feed those in need, he was thankful for others, not just himself, Jesus was and is truly humble.

In the second verse posted, Jesus is thankful that the father heard him. We need to be thankful like Jesus was. Jesus was thankful in every instance of his life. The bread of life was thankful for all the bread given to him, for all the Father had done for him and that the Father hears him. We are to be thankful to God just as Jesus was thankful to his Father.

Jesus is the main reason we are to be thankful this year. Here are my reasons to be thankful: Salvation, Family, Food, Not broke, A roof over my head, Another day to be alive to serve Jesus.

What reasons do you have to be thankful?
